Allow me to introduce our first bride and groom for 2008!
Mel and Tobie got hitched at Middlebrook Station, near Scone, yesterday. Thankfully the rain held out all afternoon, so we were able to make the most of the beautiful grounds!
Tobie kept us all howling with laughter, Mel somehow managed to keep him under control AND look after their daughter Heidi, and all in all it was an amazing afternoon!
Here’s a slideshow of the day. It’ll take a little while to load, but I think you’ll find it’s worth the wait. The rest of the photos will appear here. Soon.
Meanwhile, congratulations to Mel, Tobie and Heidi, and thanks SO much for letting me share your wedding day with you! Thanks also to Bernadette, who was a fabulous assistant / second shooter.
Don’t have time for the slideshow?

Just a heads up about our new online proofing system. It’s now online!
I’d been busily working on my own proofing system (being the nerd that I am), but in the end I decided that Photo Cart delivered all of the features I was after, so I gave in and bought it
Here’s the end result:

Enjoy!
Remember Holly? Well, here’s her sister, Bella, who could be her twin!
I caught up with mother and daughter Lorraine and Sam and their puppies a few weeks ago. Sadly Bella wasn’t quite well, so her energy ran out fast, but we managed to get a few nice photos before she fell asleep! (And a couple after too
) Coco, Bella’s big sister, was pretty keen to sleep too

Lately I’ve had a few people ask me about engagement sessions (also known as “e-sessions” or “e-shoots”) … why I include them in my wedding package … whether they’re negotiable … etc.
So, I thought I’d explain the thinking behind them.
It’s pretty simple, really. Your wedding day is important. So why would you want to spend yours with a photographer you barely know?
E-sessions provide a great opportunity for us to become friends. We spend an hour or two somewhere you and your Significant Other like being together. We chat lots and take a few photos. And then when your wedding day comes around, you find it easy to relax around me, and I know more about the story I’m telling!
And as an added bonus, you get some nice photos to use on invites, programs, Facebook, etc.
I’ll leave you with Jasmine and Tony’s comments on their engagement photos:
WOW!!!!
They are amazing and Tony and I are just lost for words.
The photos look like us and really show our personalities.
Thank you for putting these up last night and we can’t wait to see our wedding photo’s.
BIG thanks again,
Tony & Jasmine
