We spent a few hours wandering around Salamanca Markets, but forgot to take photos. I made up for it while we were eating our hot-dogs in the park. Three mums and their kids were having lunch too. I like the vibe of this image.

Ian (my cousin) dropped in with his kids, and Ray (my uncle) got busy preparing firewood. I didn't help. I just took photos.

Ruth is another one of my long-lost cousins. Here she is with her husband, Jaco, and baby Leon.

We stayed with Ray and Geraldene (my uncle and auntie) for our 3 nights in Hobart. Aside from getting to know them a whole lot better, we also learned about the nutritional benefits of eating sprouts and drinking celery juice! hehe

Meet Dan and Tallulah. Dan and I became friends through this forum. It was awesome to meet him and Chontelle and their little bundle of cuteness in person! Check out some of Dan's work over here.

We're on our way to Swansea now. Here are a couple of doorways that grabbed my eye in Richmond, where we stopped for (yet another) coffee.

It’s no surprise that past governments have tried to put the kabosh on preserving Port Arthur as a historic site.

The horror of what was once done in the name of rehabilitation is hard to imagine, and is nothing short of an embarrassment to humanity. Or, more specifically, to Australia’s founding fathers.

We spent half a day wandering around Port Arthur, learning random things about cruelty. Here are the photos!

This rocky beach thing was near The Blowhole, which was near Dootown, which was near Port Arthur. We thought it looked cool.

Obviously we made it to Port Arthur, and Michelle promptly resigned herself to solitary confinement.

I visited Port Arthur with my family just before the tragic events of 1996. This is all that remains of the cafe where many lives were lost. Unsurprisingly, it has its own dark yet strangely settling vibe.

Like all good things, our time in Tasmania came to an end, and normality is slowly becoming normal again.

There isn't much to do in Strahan when it's raining and you only have one night to work with! We enjoyed the Harry Potter overtones tho.

On our way to Hobart the following day, we finally found a place that didn't translate "flat white" to "instant coffee with milk". Yay for Tarraleah!

After our first night at the Cradle Mountain Chateau, we were pretty keen to do a 6-8 hour walk in the National Park. Sadly, there was too much snow for that.

So, we walked to Marion’s Lookout instead. We were planning to do a second walk around Dove Lake, but we thought better of it as ominous clouds started to gather. Spraining my ankle didn’t help, either
