If you live in New South Wales or Victoria, there’s a good chance you woke up to the end of the world this morning.

Either that or a huge dust storm and an earthquake or two.

I couldn’t resist putting my little point and shoot camera to work on Newcastle. Here are the results. The colours have not been manipulated.

I thought it might be worth taking Scenic Drive into town. I was right.

Sandi Warren - Wonderful memories of an eerie day, Luke. Thanks for taking the time to record these diverse views. We had similar experiences in Port Stephens, where the fearsome wind drove the fine dust through every portal in the house, despite their being closed. Armageddon indeed!
