Warm fuzzies? In the Arms family? Surely not!

Perhaps you’ll understand my uncharacteristic outpouring of emotion when you have a listen to my brother’s music. I’ve always been proud of his songs, but there’s something particularly warm and fuzzy about seeing him finally record them for the world to hear.

A few weeks ago, Nate performed his first solo gig, and now he’s entered a few of his songs in a local music competition. If you’d like to have a listen, head on over to his brand-new myspace page.

The lads from up-and-coming heavy rock band Iridium are keen to hit the town for a promo shoot in the very near future, but I hadn’t heard them perform before, so I suggested starting with some live shots. The idea is that seeing and hearing them do their thing (earplugs notwithstanding!) should inspire, or at least inform, a few photo session ideas!

Anyway, they were playing last night at an all-age gig in Hamilton, so I met them all, heard them play and took a few photos in the process. For such a new band, they were surprisingly tight and entertaining – if you’re a fan of the genre and don’t mind a bit of screaming, you should check them out!
