I can’t believe 2009 is almost over. There is still so much to do!
We’re about to head off to Josiah’s first ever Family Christmas Experience, but first I wanted to wish you all a very happy Christmas
It would be remiss of me not to mention that while family, food, gifts, trees, santa and what-not are some of the fun things about Christmas, it’s also a great time to think about Jesus and the difference his birth might make to you. As Josiah is teaching us, the birth of a baby is just the beginning of a life that changes everything, and the years after Jesus was born were no different. He wasn’t a baby for long, either! What do you make of the rest of his life?
Anyway, in case you were wondering, we won’t be taking much of a break over Christmas … as many of you know, we still have a lot of photos to deliver over the next couple of weeks, and we’ll be getting back into it as soon as the festivities are over. Expect to see some more action here on the blog too
Finally, because a post without a photo is hardly a post at all, here are a few photos of a 6-week-old visitor we enjoyed a couple of days ago. I believe she has become a Christmas present to someone very lucky today! (No, not Michelle
)

2008 was so huge I can barely believe it’s over.
Thanks so much to everyone who made it a bigger opening year than we thought possible! We’ve had SO much fun meeting you, photographing you, and best of all, becoming your friends.
I hope you’ve all enjoyed a great break over Christmas, and whatever comes your way during 2009, I trust you’ll be able to look back on another good year. Hopefully this one won’t pass quite so quickly!
Then again, with Michelle expecting our first baby in July, I suspect it’ll be another whirlwind for us
Stand by for a whole lot more photos!
Lately I’ve had a few people ask me about engagement sessions (also known as “e-sessions” or “e-shoots”) … why I include them in my wedding package … whether they’re negotiable … etc.
So, I thought I’d explain the thinking behind them.
It’s pretty simple, really. Your wedding day is important. So why would you want to spend yours with a photographer you barely know?
E-sessions provide a great opportunity for us to become friends. We spend an hour or two somewhere you and your Significant Other like being together. We chat lots and take a few photos. And then when your wedding day comes around, you find it easy to relax around me, and I know more about the story I’m telling!
And as an added bonus, you get some nice photos to use on invites, programs, Facebook, etc.
I’ll leave you with Jasmine and Tony’s comments on their engagement photos:
WOW!!!!
They are amazing and Tony and I are just lost for words.
The photos look like us and really show our personalities.
Thank you for putting these up last night and we can’t wait to see our wedding photo’s.
BIG thanks again,
Tony & Jasmine
I thought you might like to know that I’ve just made it a whole lot easier to leave comments around here.
You don’t need to register anymore!
So, go ahead and tell everyone what you really think of me. Or my photos. Or … whatever.
